rosco_6502
The rosco_6502 is the 8-bit little brother of the rosco_m68k: a WDC 65C02 single-board computer from the same open-source project, with the same idea of a small, fully understandable machine you build and program yourself.
- CPU: W65C02 at 10 MHz
- Memory: 16 KB of low RAM plus 16 banks of 32 KB, and a 32 KB EEPROM in four 8 KB banks
- I/O: a 68681 dual UART with two serial ports, timers and an SPI / SD interface
- Expansion: a 2×18 header with the full address, data and control bus
- Board: 100 × 100 mm, through-hole parts only
Build it
The build guide takes you from a bare PCB to the WozMon prompt in five soldering stages, with a board map for every stage. It is also available as a PDF to print.
The rosco_6502 is open-source hardware by Ross Bamford and contributors, released under the CERN Open Hardware Licence. See the upstream repository for the design files and firmware.
